The Graphex System incorporates Neopor, an insulating board made in Germany. Neopor is a graphite composite board made from expanded graphite amalgamated granules. When combined with standard 1.8 batts it has at least 30% better insulation than the Building Code requirement. Insulation Values for the Graphex system with standard 1.8 batts on a 20mm cavity: Graphex StandardThe standard Graphex system comes in 40mm or 60mm Neopor sheets. The sheets are fixed directly to the exterior framing over the surface of a 20mm cavity and are then reinforced with fibreglass mesh that is embedded in PSL Plaster. Once the mesh coat has dried, it is covered in a decorative finishing plaster of the owner’s choice.
Graphex SolidThe Graphex Solid system comes in a 40mm or 60mm ribbed sheet, with a full meshed solid 12mm crack resistant plastered coat and on a 20mm vented cavity.
Graphex OverlayTougher thermal performance standards apply to all new houses and buildings. The most difficult houses to insulate are block and masonry houses. PSL have designed a cost effective system to insulate masonry homes which maximizes the benefits of the thermal mass. The insulation properties of the 40mm Graphex overlay will produce an R-value of 1.7. This R-value will exceed the building code changes in all regions in New Zealand.
System Guarantee Period - 15 Years from date of practical completion. Graphex comes with a Customer Protection Warranty which provides cover for defective workmanship or non-completion of relevant building work in the event of subcontractor insolvency, disappearance or death.
